Calcium ion sequestering properties of polyacrylate copolymers |
초록 |
Use of the conventional chelating agents as EDTA (Ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid salt) and TPP (tripolyposphate salt) has given rise to a serious environmental problem, excessive growth of algae in lakes, because of material containing the element such as nitrogen or phosphorus. Various polyacrylate copolymers consisting of maleic acid, EO (Ethylene oxide), NP-EO and/or taurine without the element have been synthesized to overcome the environmental problems mentioned above. Calcium sequestering capability of the polymers has been studied by calcium ion electrode method in aqueous solution. |
