Zeolite have intrinsically high cationic-exchange capacity and is applied to variable fields due to this property. In this study, zeolite was used as the smart release systems of corrosion inhibitors for corrosion protection. However, it is improper to use zeolite as an additive of organic coatings because of hydrophilic property. So surface of zeolite exchanging sodium ions for corrosion inhibitors, such as calcium ion and zinc ion, was treated with silane compounds, and those corrosion resistance were observed measuring electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS) and salt spray test(SST). |
