제목 Preparation of Cross-linked Poly(Arylene Ether Sulfone) Membranes Using Click Chemistry for Applications in PEMFC
초록 Cross-linked poly(arylene ether sulfone) membranes were prepared by click chemistry between azidomethylated poly(arylene ether sulfone) and cross-linkers. The azidomethylated PAES-50 was synthesized by chloromethylation followed by azidation of PAES-50 obtained by the condensation polymerization of di-hydroxy monomer and di-fluoro monomers. Di-ethynyl compound and di-azido compound were used as crosslinkers. The cross-linking improved the mechanical strength and the chemical and thermal stabilities of the membranes. Because one of the cross-linker had two sulfonic acid groups, the IEC value of the membrane did not decrease, but slightly increase, which lead to the increased water uptake and proton conductivity of 0.15 S cm-1 at 80 oC, 90%RH. In spite of the increased water uptake, C-PAES-50 membranes were swelled less than pristine PAES-50 membrane, which was caused from the cross-linking.
