Recently, polydopamine (PDA) coating has been issued as an alternative surface modification technique, which is simple and powerful tool resulting that a lot of studies have reported in the different material science fields such as tissue engineering, 2nd battery, and microfluidic system applications. The generation polydopamine has been regulated by altering buffer pH, dopamine concentration, and coating time, Herein, we report a PDA coating regulation on the carboxyl group-introduced polymeric substrates at a constant coating condition. This report uniquely presented different PDA coating behaviors on the substrates according to different amounts of carboxyl groups and carboxyl group-specific PDA patterning (may not complete) without a physical contacting technology. |
