Fabrication and characterization of hydrogel coils from Metal-Polymer nanocomposite as an embolic material |
초록 |
The goal of this study is to preparation of new functional polymer coils to treat malformed blood vessel potentially causing neurovascular disease as an embolic material. Poly(vinylalcohol)-tantalum nanocomposite had been prepared by using glutaraldehyde (GA) as a cross-linker and they were characterized in terms of their cross-linker contents and swelling ratio. The morphology of the composite had been studied using a scanning electron microscope (SEM) and X-ray visibility was measured according to contents of tantalum. These results demonstrated that swelling behavior of coils was controlled by their cross-linking density and tantalum contents. |
