제목 Synthesis and Characterization of Novel Thermally stable,Transparent Norbornene based Polymers Films
초록 Norbornene is a cyclohexene bridged with a methylene group in the para position. In general, polynorbornenes synthesized by ring-opening metathesis polymerization(ROMP) present excellent optical clarity. Polymer substrates with good transparency in the visible region and flexibility as well as good thermal stability, including PET, PEN, PC and PES, have been applied to the substrates for flexible display. Electrical and electronic components fabricated from a polymer comprising norbornene dicarboximide unit exhibit high transparency in the visible region, thermal stability, low moisture absorption and low dielectric constant, good solubility to organic solvent, and flexibility. In this work, we synthesized N-trifluoromethoxyphenylnorbornene-5,6-dicarboximide(TFMONDI) with substituted at different position in the aromatic ring(ortho, meta and para) and their polymerization by ROMP leading to high temperature, transparent and colorless polymer films.
