The extensive researches of self-healing polymer have been carried out for various applications in industrial fields. In this research, bio based self-healing polymer was prepared using a cross-linking mechanism between poly butylene furanoate (PBF) and 1,6- bis (maleimido) hexane (MH) by Diels-Alder reactions, and it was blended with bio-based polyurethane (BPU) to improve liquidity, elasticity and mechanical properties without disturbing its eco-friendly performance. These BPU blended furan based polymers were made with different ratio of PBF, MH and BPU. Effect of adding BPU was investigated by the mechanical analysis. Self-healing ability of polymer was studied by morphological and repeated mechanical measurements. Bio-degradability was researched by the enzymatic degradation.
