In this study, copper nanoparticles were synthesized by polyol method using PVP(poly (vinylpyrrolidone)). The size and dispersion characteristics of copper nanoparticles were investigated as function of PVP concentration, reducing agent concentration, dispersant, solvent. The particle size and dispersion characteristics of the nanometer region were determined by scanning electron microscope(SEM). By adding BYK-142 as a dispersing agent, the spherical copper nanoparticles having a diameter range of 45 ± 8 nm were dispersed. copper nanoparticles was coagulation because PVP was chemically adsorbed on the surface of the copper nanoparticles with increasing of PVP concentration. When sodium hypophosphite was added more than 2 times, smaller copper particles were produced because of the large number of nuclei generated by the reduction reaction. Acetone prevented coagulation by dissolution of diethyleneglycol surrounding the surface of copper nanoparticles. |
