Copper nanoparticles were synthesized by using chitosan as a capping agent within copper sulfate aqueous solution. To investigate the dispersibility and size of copper nanoparticles, amount of chitosan and dispersant were used as parameters. Size and shape of the copper nanoparticles were analyzed by a scanning electron microscope (SEM). In synthesis of copper nanoparticles, it was found that color of copper sulfate solution changed from bright blue to light green and finally to red brick by formation of copper-chitosan complex, prevention of oxidation by ascorbic acid, and reduction of hydrazine. As a result of amount of chitosan was increased with 0.1 M, 0.5 M, 1.0 M, size of copper nanoparticles were increased with addition of chitosan. When BYK-142, BYK-182, BYK-192 used as a dispersing agent, best dispersing agent for copper nanoparticles was BYK-192. |
