A novel double-network GO(grapheme oxide)-containing hydrogel based on modified polyaspartamide with ɤ-aminobutyric acid (GABA), 3,4-dihydroxyphenethylamine (DOP), and ethanolamine (EA), i.e., PolyAspAm(GABA/DOP/EA) was prepared and characterized. The double networks in GO/PolyAspAm(GABA/DOP/EA) are triggered by GO nanosheets and boronic acid (B) as cross-linkers. A pH-responsive and adhesive catechol group can reversibly undergo gelation through the metal boron-catechol coordinative bonding. Also the reversible double-network bonds, together with strong intermolecular HB interaction, would provide self-healing characteristics to the PolyAspAm gels. |
