Nanogels have drawn attention as promising materials in various fields such as pharmaceutical and biological engineering. Due to superior swelling property, nanogels are profitable to encapulate large amounts of chemicals and biomolecules. Although many efforts have been made to develop nanogels with high encapsulation efficiency, there is not many commercially available ones owing to unstability in harsh conditions. Herein, we present functional and biocompatible nanogels for encapsulation with enhanced stability. We synthesized various nanogels composed of biopolymers and natural molecules. To optimize the nanogels, their compositions were controlled with varying synthesis methods. Physicochemical properties of nanogels such as size, shape, surface charge and stability were characterized. Finally, we incoporated biomolecules into nanogels for testing their stability. We envision that the proposed nanogels would be beneficial in developing cosmetic products as well as drug carriers. |
