제목 Controllable thermoelectric properties of poly(3,4-ethylene dioxythiophene) by electrochemical method
초록 Thermoelectric materials can harvest electricity directly from heat. They give a promising solution to current energy and environmental problems as the thermoelectric effect can provide a reliable and environmentally friendly energy conversion. In this work, high conductive PEDOT films with efficient thermoelectric properties were prepared using a mixture of pyridine and PEG based co-polymer as two mediators for the polymerization of EDOT. The electrical conductivity of the pristine PEDOT was more than 1,000 S/cm with an oxidation level of 24.1 %. With this low oxidation level and high conductivity, the pristine PEDOT had a higher Seebeck coefficient than the PEDOT film prepared by previous method. The highest power factor in PEDOT was obtained by the precise control of the oxidation level using the electrochemical method. The applied potential was in the range of 1.3 ~ -2 V. The maximum power factor was obtained at 0.1 V state determined as more than 1,200 μW m-1 K-2.
