제목 Recyclable antibacterial performance of magnetic у-Fe2O3/polyrhodanine nanoparticles
초록 The ferromagnetic у-Fe2O3/polyrhodanine nanoparticles with average diameters of ca. 10 nm were fabricated by a one-step chemical oxidation polymerization. In the preparation, ferric ions and rhodanine monomers coordinated with each other and the injected strong reductant reduced the ferric ions to magnetic iron oxides with surface-bound rhodanine stabilizers. The fabricated у-Fe2O3/polyrhodanine nanoparticles had a maghemite d-spacing of 0.25nm and rhodanine UV-vis spectra. These composite nanoparticles were estimated as an antimicrobial agent against Gram-negative Escherichia coli and Gram-positive Staphylococcus aureus and recyclable performance. The biocidal and recycling performance test demonstrated that the у-Fe2O3/polyrhodanine nanoparticles had excellent antimicrobial properties compared to several micro-meter sized bulk polyrhodanine.
