Preparation and characterization of polyimide/Boron Nitride composites with enhanced thermal conductivity |

Thermo-conductive polymer composites can be used versatile applications in different fields, such as LED back panel, mobile electronic devices and automobile part. To get aim of high thermal conductive polymer composite, several factors should be considered as followings; 1. Design of thermal conducting path within polymer matrix; 2. Selection of high thermal conductive fillers; 3 Composite formation of filler-networked structure. In this presentation, we aimed at creating polyimide composite films based on exfoliated hexagonal boron nitride(h-BN). The polyimide/Boron nitride composites film were prepared by a casting method and their thermal diffusivities of the composites were measured by a laser flash method as function of filler content. The results indicated that the thermal conductivity of the composite film was enhanced. |
