제목 Close-packed colloidal photonic crystal particles for tunable structural color
초록 Structural color from photonic crystal is a powerful tool comparing to such conventional pigment-based colorization due to its non-degradable and eco-friendly properties. Herein, we develop multi-colorizaton photonic crystal microparticles which consist of one-size colloidal nanoparticles. Colloidal photonic crystal(CPC) microparticles were fabricated within double emulsion template by osmotic annealing, then the microparticles were hatched from the oil shell. CPC microparticles without oil shell could show different colors with one-size colloidal nanoparticles covered with polymer by the degree of hydration of polymer chain. Furthermore, structural color could be tuned by additional washing the microparticles with solvent.
