| 제목 | The social and economic R&D benefits of energy technology development: In case of KIER |
| 초록 | There has been increasing the interests of energy environment such as high oil prices, united nations framework convention on climate change, and the hydrogen economy. Energy technology development is the only key breakthrough to overcome korean energy environment. Korea Institute of Energy Research (KIER), one of best government sponsored research institutes, has taken main responsible for developing energy technologies since 1977. In this study, we analyze the social and economic R&D benefit, KIER has contributed to national life quality and national energy security, by the expert’s peer-review. The contribution of KIER’s social and economic R&D effects is measured in monetary units base on FY 2004. And also KIER’s public accountability is reviewed and some suggestions are made to improve KIER’s R&D performance. |
