Acidic Characteristics of Mesoporous Zeolites |

Mesoporous zeolites (C-meso) with different protozeolitic species at different Si/Al ratios were prepared under hydrothermal and microwave conditions. The N2 adsorption and desorption analysis of the obtained materials showed the presence of both micro and mesoporosity. Therefore, in order to elucidate the internal and external acid sites of C-meso materials and compare to that of conventional zeolites, in-situ FT-IR spectroscopy of pyridine and dimethylpyridine adsorption on C-meso and ZSM-5 with different Si/Al ratios was carried out. The characteristics of mesoporous zeolites illustrated by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, FT-IR spectroscopy by pyridine adsorption and NH3-temperature programmed desorption studies and subsequently by the catalytic applications. |
