Derivatives of triphenylamine have been attracted many scientific interests and applied in various electro-optical materials. We synthesized AB type triphenylamine monomer for polymerization via nucleophilic aromatic substitution (SNAr) reaction. Moreover, by introducing the electro withdrawing groups (EWGs) into the triphenylamine, the photoluminescence (PL) of the AB type monomer was efficiently manipulated by the strength of intramolecular charge transfer (ICT). Detailed synthetic methods and properties of the polymer will be present. |
