Physical and drug release properties of cross-linked thermosensitive chitosan/PVA blended biomaterials imprinted with allopurinol |

In this work, biodegradable functional biomaterials for allopurinol (ALP) recognition are prepared by using chitosan, PVA, sulfosuccnic acid (SSA), poloxamer, and plasticizers. The functional biomaterial was synthesized by using casting method and UV curing process. The prepared biomaterials with poloxamer contents was characterized by SEM and FTIR. Mechanical and water resistance properties for functional biomaterial were investigated. To evaluate the binding characteristics of biomaterial with/wthout ALP, the adsorption properties was investigated by equilibrium binding experiment. In addition, the effect of temperature on binding characteristics of ALP was evaluated. The results indicate that the prepared functional biomaterial have one site of ALP. As the results of drug release of ALP with the pH and temperature, the release in high pH and temperature was better than in low pH and temperature. In addition, the release of ALP was carried out by using artificial skin. |
