New red-light emitting polymers were synthesized by the palladiumn-catalyzed Suzuki coupling reaction of 2,7-dibromo-9,9’-dihexyl fluorene with various 2-pyran-4-ylidene-malononitrile(PM) derivatives. The structures of the fluorene-based copolymers were designed to perform color tuning by energy transfer mechanism. The UV-Vis, photoluminescence (PL), and electroluminescence (EL) spectra, and current-voltage-luminescence characteristics of the polymers were investigated. Light-emitting devices with ITO/PEDOT-PSS/polymer/Al configuration were fabricated for the experiment. |
