In this study, PEG-conjugated cadmium telluride nanoparticles (PCTNPs) were prepared by reaction with cadmium telluride nanoparticles (CTNPs) followed by immobilization of amino-terminated PEG. Then, peptide ligands (RGD peptide or RGDS peptide) were introduced to the surface of the PCTNPs (RPCTNPs or RSPCTNPs) to realize receptor targeting and molecular imaging. The surface properties of CTNPs, PCTNPs, RPCTNPs, and RSPCTNPs were characterized by XRD, FT-IR, TEM, DLS and zeta potential. To evaluate the cell compatibility and cytotoxicity of CTNPs, PCTNPs, RPCTNPs, and RSPCTNPs nanoparticles, human fibroblast cells were cultured in the presence of nanoparticles. Interaction of CTNPs, RPCTNPs, and RSPCTNPs with cells were also observed by fluorescene microscope. |
