Nitric oxide (NO) gas sensing properties of activated carbon fibers with electroless plated copper |
초록 |
The activated carbon fibers introduced copper metal (Cu-ACFs) were prepared by electroless copper plating method, in order to sensing NO gas. The surface properties of the ACFs were investigated by XPS and SEM. Their pore structure and specific surface area were assessed by N2 adsorption at 77K. NO gas sensing properties of ACFs were confirmed using a programmable electrometer. The XPS result showed that the copper content on the ACFs surface were increased with increasing of plating time. When the NO gas of 100 ppm was injected, the gas sensor fabricated using Cu-ACFs showed an approximately 12% change in the resistance, whereas the non-treated ACFs showed approximately 4%. And the response time of Cu-ACFs decreased compared with non-treated ACFs. |
