제목 Synthesis and Characterization of Fluorescent Low Molar Mass Organogelator Containing 2-(2’-Hydroxylphenyl)benzoxazole Units
초록 A new series of low molar mass organogelators were synthesized by the reaction with hydroxyphenylbenzoxazole and alkyl isocyanate in THF at room temperature. The gel was formed in a DMF/toluene mixture by cooling to room temperature after heating. The gel was stable for a prolonged period at ambient temperature, and could be transformed to solution by heating. The sol-to-gel and gel-to-sol transition were completely reversible upon heating-cooling cycle. In the case of sol-to-gel transition, fluorescence intensity increased, and in the case of gel-to-sol transition, fluorescence intensity quenched. The super-structure formed from gelator was confirmed with XRD, SEM and TEM. The driving force for self-assembly such as hydrogen bonding and van der Waals interaction was defined with NMR and IR spectroscopy. The gelation mechanism was comprised in hydrogen bond between amine units and carbonyl units in urea groups and by van der Waals interaction between long alkyl chains.
