제목 | Synthesis of RGO-CdS with different pH condition and their photocatalytic activity |
초록 | Ever since graphenes discovery in 2004, it has been making an amazing impact in many areas of science and technology due to its remarkable physicochemical properties. Currently, it has been regarded as an important building block for synthesizing various functional composite materials. Graphene-based semiconductor photocatalysts have attracted extensive attention because of their promising potential for conversion of solar to chemical energy. Among the most investigated inorganic semiconductor nanoparticles, CdS has attracted tremendous attention for many potential applications due to their outstanding properties, including discrete energy bands and narrow emission profiles. In this work, we combined the most attractive reduced graphene oxide (RGO) together with CdS. Our approach is to investigate the effect of pH on the synthesis of RGO-CdS. We synthesized the RGO-CdS at 180oC at three different pHs through hydrothermal process. The obtained products had been characterized by XRD, SEM and TEM. The photo catalytic activity also has been investigated under visible light. The RGO-CdS nanocomposites show the excellent enhanced photocatalytic property. |
