The most economical method of producing hydrogen is fossil fuel extraction, but this causes environmental problems. Therefore, research on a method for producing hydrogen such as electrolysis of water is being actively conducted. Here, the hydrogen evolution reaction requires a significant overpotential, so it is important to find a suitable electrode catalyst. In HER reactions, noble metal electrodes are ideal HER electrodes with a near-zero overpotential and a low Tafel slope. However, since precious metals are expensive, efforts are being made to find low-cost alternatives. In this study, a CoS/SrGO catalyst was synthesized using cobalt as a central metal that can replace noble metals as an electrocatalyst for HER. The overvoltage of the catalyst was measured using the linear scanning potential method, and the electrochemical properties of the catalyst were evaluated by measuring the impedance, Faraday efficiency, and time voltage method. |
