Synthesis and Cationic Photo-Polymerization of Novel Materials Containing Glycidylether and Triethoxysilyl Group |

A study of the photoinduced and thermally initiated cationic polymerization of three monomers which are structured epoxy group with syliol. 1,4-Diglycidylether-2-butene was synthesized from 2-buten-1,4-diol and glycidylether, and followed hydrosilation with Pt(II) to form diepoxy-triethoxysilyl-buthane. Two reactive precusors, 4,4’-diglycidylether-3,3’-di(triethoxysilylpropyl)bisphenolA and 4,4’-diglycidylether-3,3’- di(triethoxysilylpropyl)biphenyl were also synthesized by similar procedure. The physical and chemical properties of the photocured films have been investigated. The structure is characterized by 1H nuclear magnetic resonance and real-time infrared. Heat resistance and curing time were studied by thermogravimetric analysis and photo-differential scanning calorimetry. The results of atomic force microscope, contact angle and pencil hardness showed improved physical properties. |
