The characterization of UV curable contact lens containing Self-photoinitiating silicon acrylate (SPISA) and Hyperbranched acrylate (HBA) has been investigated using a full factorial design. A full factorial design was used with SPISA (4%, 12%) and HBA (1%, 6%) as two factors. It was planned with ten experimental points, including two replicates for SPISA and HBA with center point. The results show that the concentration of SPISA and HBA are the most effective factors affecting photo curing conversion, water contents, contact angle and tensile strength of UV curable contact lens. As a result of statistical analysis, the sample containing 8wt% of SPISA and 3.5wt% of HBA showed the best results for UV curable contact lens. |
