제목 Preparation of porous poly(L-lactide-co-ε-caprolactone) scaffold by gas foaming/salt leaching process and in vitro/vitro degradation behavior
초록 Synthetic biodegradable polymers have been widely utilized in medical applications such as sutures, orthopedics, drug delivery systems, and recently scaffolds for tissue engineering. Very elastic PLCL [poly(L-lactide-co-ε-caprolactone), 50:50] copolymers were synthesized for the application to tissue engineering. Porous PLCL scaffolds have been prepared by gas foaming/salt leaching process. In vitro/vivo degradation behavior of scaffolds was investigated as a function of radiation dose. The scaffolds were implanted into nude mice subcutaneously up to 8 weeks to monitor the in vivo degradation. In addition, they were degraded in vitro in phosphate buffer saline (PBS, pH 7.4) up to 15 weeks to examine the radiation effects of porous PLCL scaffolds. All the scaffolds were degraded slowly in vivo and in vitro. However, the degradation rate was somewhat faster in vivo than in vitro.
