Most recently biodegradable poly(lactic acid) and poly(butylene succinate) are now extensively investigated in order to reduce the environmental pollution due to plastic wastes and to replace conventional plastic materials. Because PLA exhibits high cost, brittleness and low crystallization rate, industrial applications are restricted. PBS have low strength so they break off easily. The blends of PLA with PBS may provide high flexibility, impact strength, and the thermal and chemical resistances. In the present work, we produced of PLA/PBS blends with different compositions using a twin-screw extruder. The morphological, thermal and mechanical properties of PLA/PBS blends may the samples from injection molding were examined. The result depend on the blending ratio, showing a spectrum of the properties. |
