제목 Dispersion Behavior of Nanoparticles with Multidendate Polymer Brushes in Polymer Matrice
초록 The hybridization of NPs with polymer matrices has proven to be an effective method for the high performance of nanocomposites in many applications. In this study, we demonstrated that the distribution of NPs dispersed in a matrix. The surface of NPs of various size was modified with polystyrene (PS) brushes, polystyrene-block-poly(cysteamine methyl disulfide), by the ligand exchange procedure. The disulfide groups in the PS brushes act as anchoring blocks for NPs. Various PS brushes were prepared with different total molecular weights as well as different mole fractions of the disulfide moieties. The dispersion of NPs within a matrix was found to be influenced by the total molecular weight of PS brushes as well as the number of disulfide groups. Furthermore, the effect of the ratio of the size of NP to the radius of gyration of a polymer brush as well as the grafting density of the PS brushes anchored onto NPs on the NP distribution within a matrix is further discussed.
