제목 Synthesis and device characterization of the anionic water soluble polymer applying to polymer light emitting diodes
초록 We have achieved an enhancement of the Luminance efficiency, external quantum efficiency, Power efficiency in PLED as water soluble polymer layer between the emitting polymer and the cathode metal. The device structure were indium thin oxide(ITO)/ PEDOT;PSS/ Super Yellow/ water soluble polymer/ Lif/ Al, indium thin oxide(ITO)/ GPEDOT;PSS(glycerol + PEDOT;PSS)/ Super Yellow/ water soluble polymer/ Lif/ Al. The device showed a maximum Luminance of 14780 cd/m2 at an applied voltage of 15V while the one without water soluble polymer layer showed the maximum Luminance of 2501 cd/m2 at 13.8 V. In addition, The device showed a maximum quantum efficiency of 0.67% at an applied voltage of 12.6V while the one without water soluble polymer layer showed a maximum quantum efficiency of 0.20% at 12.8V. We explain that the better performance in PLED with water soluble polymer was due to a well balanced charge injection in emitting layer.
