Splitting of water into H2 by a photochemical process is one of the biggest chemical challenges in solar energy utilization. Recent research activities are focused mainly on production of hydrogen by photofunctional materials that can work under visible light. In the present study, the novel polymer nanocomposite based photocatalyst was prepared by using a novel benzene thiol grafted graphene filled poly (thiocyanuric acid) (C3N3S3) polymer. Structural and morphological characterizations of the synthesized polymer composites were done using various tools such as FT-IR, XRD, XPS, TGA, FE-SEM and TEM. Finally, H2-producing efficiency of the synthesized photocatalyst were determined using photocatalytic activity testing and photoelectrochemical measurements. |
