제목 Preparation of proton exchange membranes by the gamma-radiation grafting of styrene onto PVDF films
초록 Poly(vinylidene fluoride)-g-polystyrene sulfonic acid(PVDF-g-PSSA) membranes were prepared by radiation-induced grafting of styrene onto PVDF films using simultaneous irradiation technique and subsequent sulfonation in chlorosulfonic acid/dichloroethane mixture. The PVDF films were exposed to gamma irrdiation doses of 50~200 kGy at a dose rate of 10 kGy/h. The properties of the PVDF-g-PSSA membranes such as DOG, IEC, water uptake and tensile strength were evaluated. The structure variations were investigated using FTIR-ATR spectroscopy. DSC and TGA have been used to study the thermal decomposition and the melting behavior of the grafted PVDF films.
