In this work, we prepared thermally responsive hydrogels with the macromonomers synthesized with forced gradient polymerization. Forced gradient copolymerization is the reaction involving the initiation of a polymerization in a pure monomer or a monomer mixture and the subsequent continuous addition of monomers during the reaction time. In this work, with this polymerization method, multi-segmented copolymers which have a different composition of LCST-type monomers were synthesized, which exhibits a characteristic thermal behavior that is different from random or block copolymers. |
