Nanocomposites are widely used in electronic and imaging applications. The rheological and physical properties of the composites were improved by adding nano-size particles, such as nanoclay or carbon nanotubes (CNT). In this study, Styrene, Butyl Acrylate and Methacrylic acid (MAA) were copolymerized in an aqueous media at 80℃. Also, an aggregation technique was used to prepare the nanocomposites. The rheological properties were measured by using Advanced Rheometric Expansion System (ARES). It was found that the rheological properties were significantly improved by adding the nano-particles. The modulus and the stress relaxation were also examined as a function of frequency and temperature. |
