Fabrication of A Novel Wearable, Ultra-Flexible and -Sensitive Electronic Skin for Human Motion Monitoring based on Graphene/Free-standing PEDOT/P(VDF-HFP) Hybrid Materials |

We describe the design and fabrication of graphene/V-PEDOT/P(VDF-HFP) hybrid material and the development of electronic skin devices using it. This electronic skin exhibited synergetic effects of an enhanced contact surface area and piezo-resistivity with an extremely high gauge factor of 320 with 2% tensile strain, and 67 with 0.2% tensile strain. Signals from even very weak motion, such as changes in expression and the pulse in the wrist, can be detected. Furthermore, good durability and reproducibility of devices were demonstrated. The device was wearable and sufficiently biocompatible to be placed inside clothing or against human skin without causing irritation. |
