제목 Thermally-Stable Au & Janus Au Nanoparticles with Tuned Surface Property and Control the Location of Nanoparticles in the Polymer Matrix
초록 Polymer/nanoparticles(NPs) hybrid materials have been investigated for many years due to their fascinative properties. To achieve the compatibility between NPs and polymer matrix, thiol-terminated polymers have been used as a stabilizing ligand to tune surface property of the NPs. However, the interaction between the thiol group and metal is insecure with increasing temperature. To obtain the thermally-stable Au and Janus Au NPs with precisely tuned surface property, we designed various UV-crosslinkable polymeric ligands, which had diverse compositions of polar methyl methacrylate and non-polar styrene units. After crosslinking the Au and Janus Au NPs, it was found that not only these NPs had superb stability at high temperature but also control the location of NPs within the polymer matrix was possible. Furthermore, by calculations for adsorption energy of NPs, it was confirmed that Janus Au NPs were easily located at the interface and more stable due to the large adsorption energy.
