To analyze the qualitative polymerization model of polymeric dental composites (PDC) photoaccelerated by a variety of tertiary amine compound, the chemically leaching components from PDC was utilized in accordance with the value of degree of polymerization (DP). To activate the resin matrix (bisphenol A glycerolate methacrylate/triethylene glycol dimethacrylate, 70/30 wt%) of PDC, 0.5 wt% of camphorquinone was adopted as a photo-initiator and 1.0 wt% of various tertiary amine compound were used as a photo-accelerator. Based on the 1H NMR spectrum of chloroform leached component from the PDC and the value of DP was characterized by FT-IR spectroscopy, pendant-side-chain polymerization model of PDC will be proposed. |
