Effect of additives on controlled sirolimus release for drug-eluting stents |
초록 |
Drug-eluting stents (DES) have been widely used in order to prevent restenosis after stent implantation. Sirolimus (SRL), used to DES, is known to inhibit the proliferation of smooth muscle cell. However, hypersensitivity caused by nondegradable polymer and burst release of SRL from polymer layer were pointed out as disadvantages. In this study, it was hypothesized that SRL release from biodegradable poly(D,L-lactide) (PDLLA) would be controlled by various additives with hydrophilic or hydrophobic property. PDLLA solution with SRL and additive was coated onto the helical stent-like spring by ultrasonic spray method. It was characterized by ATR-FTIR, SEM, DSC, and HPLC. |
