Research into waterborne coatings began in the 1950s. Today, nearly four decades later, waterborne coatings have come into wide use. The importance of waterborne coatings has been increased because they are more environmental friendly, have less toxicity and improved Fire risk. But waterborne coatings were considered the weaker chemical and physical properties of solvent-borne coatings and were delayed to alternate of it.In recent years, according to stringent requirements inclean air act and volatile organic compound (VOC) reduction levels, continued research and product development by paint and coating manufacturers has produced new generations of waterborne coatings that are truly revolutionary.So, this paper presents to overview the new technical trends of waterborne coatings. |
