제목 Efficient, Color Stable White Organic Light-Emitting Diode Based on High Energy Level Dopant
초록 The authors have fabricated efficient and color stable white organic light-emitting diodes (WOLEDs) based on blue, yellowish green and red phosphorescent dye doped triple emissive layers. Firpic and Ir(piq)3 were used as the blue and red dopants, respectively, and newly synthesized, Ir(chpy)3 or Ir(mchpy)3 was used as the yellowish-green dopant. The devices showed high external quantum efficiency of 11.5% and color rendering index of 87%. Moreover they exhibited remarkable color stability with the variation of Commission Internationale de l’Eclairage (CIE) chromaticity coordinates less than (0.02, 0.01) between 10 cd/m2 and 5,000 cd/m2. The color stability is interpreted based on the energy level alignment of the dopant and the host of the middle layer, where the green dopants have higher HOMO and LUMO energy levels than the host material of CBP.
