We have synthesized the 1,1-Dichloro-4,5,8,9-bis(triptycene)silafluorene(1) and 1,1-dichloro-1-silafluorene(2) Their optical properties have been characterized by UV-vis and fluorescence specspectroscopy.Structural characterization has been achieved by NMR and X-ray single crystallography. Polysila-fluorenes have been synthesized from the reaction of (1) and (2) with 2 equiv. alkaline metals using Wurtz-type polycondensation.-This research was financially supported by the Ministry of Coomerce, Industry and Energy (MOCIE) and Korea Industrial Technology Foundation (KOTEF) through the Human Resource Training Project for Regional Innovation. |
