Polyaniline (PANI)/graphene nanosheet (GNS) composites were prepared by a chemical oxidation polymerization of aniline monomer (ANI) in the presence of graphene suspension in HCl solution. The morphology, structure and crystallinity of the composites were examined by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transition electron microscopy (TEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD). Electrochemical properties were characterized by cyclic voltammetry (CV) in 1M H2SO4 electrolyte. The PANI/GNS composites exhibit the better specific capacitance than the pure individual component. The introduction of PANI into GNS highly improves the electrochemical performance because GNS not only serve as supporting materials, but also provide a large number of active sites. These PANI/GNS composites with high specific capacitance are promising electrode materials for supercapacitors. |
