제목 Silver Coated Iron Oxide Nanoparticles
초록 In order to synthesize silver coated iron oxide nanoparticles, we first synthesized about 10nm iron oxide nanoparticles and 3nm silver nanoparticles. Then, we used dopamine and mercaptoalkanoic acids as linker molecules to bind the silver nanoparticles to the magnetic iron oxide nanoparticles. Finally, we carried out the additional growth reaction of silver coated iron oxide nanoparticles by using a mild reducing agent and silver salt. We show that controlling of the reaction conditions such as concentration of the ingredients and pH of solutions allows one to control the size and shape of silver-iron oxide hybrid nanoparticles. The morphology, crystal structure and magnetic property have been characterized by TEM, XRD, and VSM respectively.
