Nanomaterials of different composition and shape have found recently considerable interest of many research groups. Among those, nanowires are of special interest due to their interesting application potential. We have synthesized novel nanowires with remarkable properties via the nucleophilic addition of anions to [60]fullerene. The general configuration, framework, functional groups, composition, chemical structure, and special properties of these novel nanowires were studied by scanning electron and high resolution transmission electron microscopy, X-ray photoelectron, infrared, solid state 1H-NMR and 13C- NMR, and mass spectroscopy, as well as X-ray diffraction |
