제목 Synthesis and Properties of Polyurethane Nanocomposites from Reactive Polyhedral Oligomeric Silsesquioxanes
초록 Organic-inorganic hybrid materials have attracted considerable interests since they can combine the advantages of inorganic materials with those of organic materials. Generally, the physical blending of inorganic particles with organic polymer aggravates due to the unfavorable miscibility. However, the problem can largely be resolved by using a polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (POSS) with the particle size 1-3nm containing 1-8 reactive groups. The POSS was modified with trimethoxysilane by a hydrosilylation and subsequently sol-gel reaction to synthesize the polyurethane-POSS nanocomposites which were tested for mechanical, dynamic mechanical properties and thermal stability. It has shown that modified POSS incorporated into the PU chains by sol-gel reaction becomes multifunctional chemical crosslinker which effectively reinforces the materials mechanically compared with those prepared by UV curing.
