Until now, most of the mercury oxidation reports were based on studies at coal-fired power plants. Thus, varying experimental conditions on full-scale still remains to be a problem. Some researchers have also demonstrated that homogeneous mercury oxidation pathways in simulated flue gas. In this paper, the effect of oxidizing agents on mercury oxidation in a laboratory-scale SCR system, using a commercial SCR catalyst is reported. Two oxidizing agents (O2 and HCl) are introduced into the feed gas at various contents, SCR temperature and space velocities. |
