Since the discovery of MCM-series and SBA-series, a large number of modified mesoporous materials have been synthesized. It has attracted much attention and led to the development of surface properties for numerous potential applications including catalysis, ion exchange, encapsulaton of transition-metal complex or semiconductor clusters and chemical sensing. In previous studies of organo-modified mesoporous materials, various method introducing coprecursor such as silsesquioxane and bridged silsequioxane to TEOS (tetraethylorthosilcate) with low-molecular surfactant as structure directing agent were reported. Individual bridged silsesquioxane without TEOS and amphiphilic block copolymer was used in this investigtion. These materials were characterized using various analytical techniques such as X-ray diffraction, nitrogen adsorption-desorption, transmission electron microscopy IR spectroscopy. |
