제목 | Adsorption poroperties of nitrate on mesoporous materials, MCM-48 and SBA-15 |
초록 | Highly porous materials, MCM-48 and SBA-15, were synthesized with detergents as structure directing agents by hydrothermal reactions. They have high surface area and well-developed regular cylindrical mesopores. The adsorbents prepared were characterized by nitrogen adsorption/desorption experiments in order to obtain specific surface area, average pore diameter, and pore size distributions for micro- and meso-pore ranges. MCM-48 and SBA-15 prepared were used as adsorbents to remove nitrate from contaminated aqueous solutions. The adsorption characteristics of nitrate on the mesoporous adsorbents were measured in a batch adsorption system in terms of concentration, temperature and pH. Experimental results show that adsorption isotherms of nitrate are well fitted with both the Langmuir and Freundlich isotherm models. |
