The poly(isosorbide carbonate) was synthesized by melt polycondensation of dimethyl carbonate and isosorbide using the catalyst. We tried to synthesize several catalysts and wanted to find out influence of catalyst type and their concentration on molecular weight and thermal property for isosorbide based polycarbonate. The qualitative properties of polycarbonate were analyzed by 1H NMR spectroscopy, high temperature-GPC and differential scanning calorimetery(DSC) was employed to know their thermal behavior. |
